If you are driving on the Peace Avenue (Enkhtaivan Avenue) approaching to the hotel from the east (most common experience), you'll pass State Department Store and further drive for less than half a kilometre and turn right at the first road turn. After only one hundred metre drive, you'll easly spot the glass facade of the Kharaa Hotel to your left side.
Kharaa Hotel is located within a 15-minute walking distance of the Gandan Monastery, the largest functioning monastery in Mongolia. The monastery is located on a nearby hill laying to the north west of the hotel which is covered by gers and fences of residents making the area as if a small ger town of 19th century.
